WAFIOS Presents Tube Bending Machine BMZ 42 with New Mandrel Coiling Device at the Blechexpo in Stuttgart, Germany

The new rotary unit can be employed for the production of spirals which are used in e.g. heat exchangers or generally in air-conditioning technology. Formerly, these spirals had to be produced manually or on coiling machines. Thus the bending process had to be divided into preceding and succeeding bending operations. Thanks to the new coiling unit, spirals can now be produced directly at the machine and in one pass. The unique combination of bending head and mandrel coiling unit offers a wide range of new possibilities. If conventionally bent tube parts are produced, the mandrel coiling unit can be lowered into a stand-by position. High degrees of automation can be reached by employing simple handling systems or robots. Compared to traditional production techniques, the output is now twice as high. The quality could be improved significantly due to a continuous and safe bending process.

In our nearby main factory in Reutlingen, we will have a machine for the production of serpentine pipes - as they are used in solar panels - ready for presentation. This unique machine offers a wide range of new production possibilities in the solar industry which is undoubtedly one of the main future markets. Our shuttle service will bring you from the fair grounds to Reutlingen and back.
