WAFIOS Acquires the Tube Bending Technology Of TRUMPF Rohrtechnik GmbH + Co. KG

WAFIOS AG, Reutlingen, Germany, announces that it has acquired the manufacturing rights to the tube bending machine product line of TRUMPF Rohrtechnik GmbH + Co. KG (formerly: Pulzer Biegetechnik GmbH), Reutlingen. As of July 15, 2003, TRUMPF Rohrtechnik GmbH + Co. KG ceased development, production and sale of tube bending machine products.

In full knowledge of the important obligation that is owed to existing users throughout the world, WAFIOS and TRUMPF are making every effort to insure a seamless transition of responsibility. Effective immediately, WAFIOS has assumed responsibility for after sales service and spare parts supply for all existing TRUMPF/Pulzer tube machines worldwide.

By acquiring the rights to the TRUMPF tube bending program, WAFIOS AG has carried their tube strategy a step further. The addition of the Trumpf/Pulzer products to WAFIOS' existing wire and tube bending line, expands the range of possible tube products the company can produce. And, WAFIOS' decades of experience in CNC bending technology can now be applied to an even wider range of products for the tube industry.

At the TUBE 2004 show (March 29 - April 2, 2004 in Duesseldorf, Germany) WAFIOS will exhibit not only an advanced model of an existing tube bending machine series, but also a tube bending machine of TRUMPF design with new software that was developed for it by WAFIOS.
