The WSM 1 is designed to provide quick and efficient grinding for the cutter knives and cut mandrels used in many WAFIOS spring coilers,
including the current series FSE and FUL machines.
The standard pedestal mounted grinder is equipped with two spindles, two grinding stations with rotary and fixed tool carriers, and an exhaust unit.
Diamond wheels are used for grinding Tungsten Carbide tooling and CBN wheels for high speed steels.
Each station includes a precision fixture with quick-clamping and micrometer adjustment for the oscillating forward movement.
Tool carriers are provided for Rotary and Vertical cut-off tooling
